Physical Education

Physical Education (PE) plays a vital role in supporting children’s physical health, mental wellbeing and personal development. Through high‑quality PE lessons, pupils develop strength, coordination, balance and stamina while learning how regular exercise contributes to a healthy lifestyle. PE also helps children build confidence, resilience and teamwork skills, encouraging them to enjoy being active and to develop positive attitudes towards lifelong physical activity.

At our school, we deliver PE through the Get Set 4 PE scheme. This carefully planned programme ensures lessons are inclusive, progressive and engaging for all pupils. Get Set 4 PE focusses on developing fundamental movement skills and physical competence, while promoting important values such as respect, determination and honesty. Lessons are designed to challenge pupils appropriately, support individual progress and foster a love of sport and physical activity in a safe and supportive environment.

Throughout the year, we offer a variety of after-school activities. Traditional sports such as football and basketball and sports such as rounders, dodgeball, and glow sports, which has proven very popular.
